For this project we created:
Logo / Brand identity / Print / Signage / Digital
Opened in 1989 by Vittorio Rizza - Vittorio’s Restaurant has been providing an authentic Italian experience to the people of Newport for more than 30 years. Born from a passion for his native Italy and his love for good food and fine wine, Vittorio managed the restaurant with his wife Laura until 2011. The business has remained in the family ever since and the reins have now been passed to Vittorio’s grandaughter Rebecca and her husband Owen.
Parade Design were asked to create a new brand for the restaurant but to retain the traditional, authentic Italian ethos that the family business has always maintained.
Famiglia Di Rizza
It was so important that Vittorio and his family remained the focus of this brand. We developed a collection of motifs to be used alongside the main logotype, reinforcing the family roots from Cassino, central Italy.
The logotype is suggestive of vintage Italian typography with its chunky drop shadow, but could also be used with an inline stroke or on its own, enabling versatility within the brand identity.
We love a good 'glow up'
We commissioned the manufacture and installation of bespoke 3D built up lettering for the main signage and added new projecting double-sided illuminated lightboxes to either end of the restaurant. To resemble traditional, hand painted gold leaf, we applied gold satin vinyl to add a touch of elegance to window graphics.
With a fresh new coat of paint and stylish new canopy, Vittorio's shopfront has been transformed.
