Our task for this brief was to create a new logo and brand identity for HR Spectrum, an established HR and L&D recruitment business with over 25 years experience in the recruitment industry. HR Spectrum specialise in recruiting senior HR leaders, middle HR management and HR graduates across Wales.
The aim of the brand was to reflect the same professionalism and quality of the business and to attract the likes of both candidates and clients, with a visually appealing, memorable image.
Managing director Liz Williams, wanted to keep the reference to the bird in her old logo and the strong use of colour to connect with the company name.
We wanted to modernise the bird with a much more simple icon and whilst researching types of birds, created a concept around the humming bird.
The brightly-coloured and mesmerizing hummingbird had great connotations with Liz and her business. With their boundless energy, hummingbirds are extremely intelligent, can multi-task better than any other animal personality, and are always on the go. When your spirit animal is the hummingbird, you share its traits of being small but strong. You are courageous, determined, flexible, and adaptable. A perfect fit!
Rather than using the spectrum of colours in its original form, we created a gradient effect to use instead. We chose 2 main gradient colours best reflecting the hummingbirds feathers for static logos and layouts. On digital formats the gradients move to highlight the spectrum of colours synonymous with the brand name.
A user-friendly custom-built website
We designed and built a brand new website for HR Spectrum. The website not only had to be user-friendly for candidates but also for administrators who would be using the back-end of the CMS to upload jobs and update content. For candidates browsing for roles, a filtering system for permanent, temporary and contract jobs was integrated and a quick link panel to attach CVs and send with a click of a button.
